Permanent, full time, full year. Actual salary in range £41,283 - £45,161.

                       

The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the College’s IT systems, learning resources and electronic learning technologies, which will enhance the learning experience for our students and enable staff to meet their responsibilities. They will be contributing to and coordinating the development of applications and systems designed to streamline and improve efficiency for staff and students at the College. The postholder will be required to work closely with the MIS Manager to ensure the College Management Information System is maintained effectively.

                              

Essential requirements:

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent Level 2 awards)
  • Degree qualification in an IT related subject or equivalent experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of the issues involved in managing a large computer network system
  • Experience of managing or supervising staff

Term time plus 5 INSET days, full/part time, fixed term from August 2019 until July 2021. Actual full time salary in range £16,295 to £18,191 (pay award pending).

                           

The postholder will support students in class with learning in their area of teacher training development. They will supervise prepared lessons and tutorials in the absence of teachers. The postholder will undertake teacher training (funded by the College) and will be expected to gain a teaching qualification during the contract. Applications are particularly welcomed for Psychology and Modern Foreign Languages graduates but all disciplines are of interest.

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent Level 2 awards)
  • Degree in a relevant teaching subject

Volunteer Counsellor
Part Time - Support

                         

Are you looking for a placement to gain the hours necessary to gain accreditation as a counsellor? Maybe you’re already qualified and have some time to spare to support your local community?

                                           

We are looking to expand our team of volunteer counsellors here at East Norfolk. We’re a friendly, inclusive Sixth Form College, based in Gorleston, Great Yarmouth,  and have consistently featured in the Top 20 of all colleges nationally. Our 1600 students are largely 16-19, and studying a range of qualifications from Level 1 through to Level 4.

                              

We can offer you a supportive environment to complete your qualification, or a friendly place to undertake some voluntary work. We take our commitment to the wellbeing of our young people very seriously, and understand that interventions provided at this stage in their lives can make a lasting difference into adulthood.

To maintain and develop high standards of teaching and learning in the delivery of the courses for which the staff member is responsible. The postholder will plan and deliver high quality effective teaching and learning, enabling students to enjoy learning and achieve their full potential. 

                            

Essential requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent and able to teach on a range of courses within the subject area
  • Teaching qualification or commitment to gaining Level 5 teaching qualification (Diploma in Education and Training) within two years of appointment essential
  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent Level 2 awards)
