The course is intended to broaden students existing understanding and knowledge of Art & Design, as well as develop technical skills and working processes. Students will carry out specialist projects in a variety of art and design disciplines. The Course is underpinned with a Visual Studies programme that will develop students’ skills in drawing and painting and recording from direct observation.

Entry Requirements

Grade 4 in GCSE English Language, and Grade C in a GCSE Art & Design subject or evidence of creative flare and potential.

Content

This course provides an opportunity for those who have an interest in the visual arts to explore, develop and test their creativity within a qualification structure which is stimulating and demanding and provides a supportive transition from Level 2 to Level 3.
