Made In Creative UK

This course has been designed to encourage learners to aspire to a career in the creative industries. Young people who recreationally engage with video games are able to develop skills and knowledge that will enable them to see how their interest can be transposed into a viable career goal. Learners will explore who makes games and who they are made for and also develop and hone key practical skills in digital games production using an industry standard games engine and professional applications. In additional to creating a portion of the game and associated assets, learners will also produce print-based marketing materials using the Adobe Suite.

Assessment

The BTEC Level 2 First Award in Creative Digital Media Production comprises of four units, three of which are internally assessed with the final unit being externally set and marked by Pearson.

Entry Requirements

A grade 3 in GCSE English Language is essential. Applicants should have achieved at least a grade 3 in four or more subjects at Level 2. Please note that you cannot study this subject alongside Video Production or Web Production.

Average GCSE Scores

Please note that for some of our courses, we require a minimum GCSE average profile.
We use ALIS scores to ensure our students enrol on courses where they have the greatest opportunity to be successful.

A* - 8
A - 7
B - 6
C - 5
D - 4
E - 3
F - 2
G - 1

How to work out your Average GCSE Score (ALIS)
Add up the GCSE grades you have got/hope to get and divide them by the number of subjects you have taken.

You may only count full course GCSEs (no vocational courses).

For example:
English C = 5 | Maths B = 6 | Science Core B = 6 | Science Additional C = 5 | Geography A = 7
Total points = 29 (points) divided by 5 (subjects) = 5.8 average GCSE score

GCSE Equivalent
Vocational courses including OCR/BTEC/DIDA are calculated as more than one subject only if you wish to progress to a Level 3 BTEC in the same subject.

There may be other requirements you need to meet, in order to enter EN on the desired programme you wish to study. If at any time you have any questions or queries please e-mail admissions@eastnorfolk.ac.uk. We will be happy to advise you further.

EN reserves the right to change our Entry Requirements to match the needs of our students.
